There isn’t one price that applies to every party. A small weekday birthday celebration in one location can have very different requirements from a large Saturday evening event with guests spread across several areas of a venue.
What affects the cost?

The number of guests can affect how much time is needed.
A smaller party may only need a short performance, while a larger event may require more time to ensure as many guests as possible get to experience the magic.
- Duration
Performance time is another factor.
Some parties may only need an hour of close-up magic, while others may benefit from two or three hours.
- Location/travel
Travel is also considered when preparing a quote.
The distance to the venue, journey time and location can all affect the overall fee. I regularly perform at parties and events across Essex and beyond.
- Date and time
The date and time of your event can also affect the quote.
A weekday daytime party can have different requirements from a Saturday evening event. The date, start time and duration are all considered when preparing a quote.
Why don't I have one fixed party price?
A professional magician isn’t simply charging for the time spent performing.
The fee also needs to take into account preparation, travel, the time committed to the booking and securing the date.
For example, accepting a booking means that date is committed to that event.
Other enquiries that come in for the same date may not be possible to accept.
This is particularly important for weddings, where a date can be secured many months or even years in advance. The price needs to reflect that commitment.
For parties, there are often more variables, which is why I provide quotes based on the specific requirements of each event.
